Important Information

The following are important dates to note as you are locating your pet:

September 30, 2005:
LSU Emergency Animal Shelter ceases taking in new animals. Animals left here after this date are considered "abandoned" and are being conditionally adopted into shelters and foster homes.

October 10, 2005:
LSU Emergency Animal Shelter shuts down all operations. By this date all animals have been shipped out to other shelters.

December 31, 2005:
People who relinquished  their animals to LSU have until this date to reclaim their pet and the pet will be returned to them.
